Load side connections

Hi,

Many AHJ's allow a load side connection for solar on a disconnect panel that only has one breaker inside (for example) and that breakers feeds the house sub panel.

We can connect using UL approved connectors on the load side of that breaker inside the MSP. (with fused disconnect)

Some plan checkers need more convincing that this is allowable.

Can anyone point me to the code that talks about requirements and what is allowed with a load side connection?

Thanks in advance!

You usually need to put a main breaker into the sub downstream.

There was an old (2011 NEC) section that said you could load a busbar or conductor up to 120%. (The original 120% rule.) That's no longer in the code in that form, so can't be used for feeders anymore.
