long distance driveway lighting

Customer has 230' between house and barn driveway. Also has at least a 500' driveway to the county road. Any advice on how to illuminate these ?
They don't seem to be worried with costs on this job. What's the max length low voltage landscape lights can go ? Thanks !

Use your VD formula to figure it out.

I would be for using a higher voltage along the route, then dropping to the LV fixture if that is their hearts desire.

Unless they only want low voltage I would go with line voltage and led bulbs.
And I agree with pton on the vd formula

When I did street lighting , I had a spread sheet to calc the volt drop, the load decreased at each light, as did the wire size.

I don't think low voltage landscape lighting is practical at those distances. The lower the voltage the more current required and the larger the wire.

Start by thinking about#10 AWG. Also start with a voltage drop calculation.
Maybe another service/transformer for the driveway lighting. Long term, it would be better.

Reading it again.

Those are long lengths for residence wiring. Think outside of the box.
