looking for a phase selector switch

Australian telecom has a spec for a phase selector that provides a means to manually balance single phase loads tapped onto a 3 phase bus. I have never heard of such a thing and would guess that there should be great caution as to the load response to the phase change. In this case, the load is all switch mode power supplies for servers. any ideas?

If the loads are connected line-neutral switching should not be a problem. Your application is not really different than the instrument switch used selecting the connections of a Voltmeter.

You can look at "cam switches". You just need to make sure there is enough separation between the contacts so that you do not get a flashover arc. But as I said above switching single a voltmeter between lines is a common application.

Some manufacturers are American Solenoid and Electroswitch.

But a voltmeter selector switch wouldn't be rated for the current your load will need.

This might require a somewhat custom design. Maybe the voltmeter selector switch could be used to turn on 1 of 3 contactors?

When I mentioned the voltmeter switch, I was trying to show that the request was not unusual nor impossible. I have purchased cam switches rated for 100A. Cam switches are primarily custom devices, you tell the manufacturer what you want the contacts to do and when.

Your contactor idea would also work, just remember to provide enough interlocking to prevent two contactors from being closed at the same time.
