I heard from an electrician that GE is still trying to develop the combination AFCI breakers and that they won't be available till mid 2009.

That I can't tell you. Check with your supplier. I have never had a need for a bolt in. You could always feed another panel that is not bolt in to comply if they don't make one.

yes you could set a sub panel that would take a plug in style AFCI breaker but the engineer is specting a 22k aic panelboards. Sounds like an engineer problem to me.:grin:Dennis Alwon said:

I have seen snap in combo AFCI breakers. I spoke with an electrician the other day that had to buy two. he got them from home depot, i think
