instead of typing all the reasons I believe this is a terribly formulated question that is causing the class to be confused over a simple concept-I'll just accept that I'm being pedantic and drop it.

I don't see anything wrong with the question or the code.

It is a very straightforward piece of code and a simple question. I think some of you are making it more complicated than it actually is.

 

[4-20mA]

It's states 'Equal', so when the thumb wheel variable is on 5, the red light will trigger on.

Not at 4.9 or less, and not at 5.1 or more. But at 5.

Pretty straight forward simple question.
