I have a friend with an old GE panel and I am trying to find some replacement breaker for his asap, but dont know what would work. The lable doesn't give any alternate breakers and just says "use G.E types TQP, TQL or TQAL circuit breakers". After doing research i have found that GE THQL1115 breakers would fit, but can't find any locally and its a bit of a rush. Was wondering if there are any other brands like seinens or Eaton that would work to replace these.

GE is pretty common, most mom and pop hardwares carry them if there is not a Home Depot or Lowe’s or Ace nearby.
The only ones I've been able to find at those shops are the slim THQP115 ones which I found didn't fit properly.. I was looking at some Eaton CL universal breakers and thinking that might work, but I'm really not sure.

Welcome to the forum.

No, stick with GE breakers.
Thank you!

I want to stick with GE but, my buddy is just in a rush and wants to get power and lights back in the basement. I saw some Eaton CL breakers that might fit, and other GE panels say they fit so was thinking of trying that unless its a really bad idea....

If you have an HD or Lowes they stock GE/ABB breakers. Very easy to find in many small hardware stores too. Very common breakers.
FYI GE electrical equipment is now known as ABB.
