I’ve got a 15 amp AFI breaker that keeps tripping. At first the problem was intermittent. It popped about twice in the last two weeks. Today, it tripped and I reset it three times in about 4 minutes. I pulled the breaker and checked the connection. It was right. I turned everything off on that circuit and changed two lightbulbs. After removing these bulbs that are about 8 years old or so, I noticed both of them had loose bases. I’m able to wiggle both of the metal bases on the bulb back and forth with no effort at all. Both bulbs were also black on one side. This is the older 60 watt type. Would a loose bulb base cause a breaker to trip?
