Try Circuit Solutions. (916)648-3021 They are in your area and sell old and surplus breakers and equiptment. I have had good luck with them.

Zinsco breakers.As I remember them they we for arc welding like FPE`s LMAO.

You might also try Central Valley down by 24th and Frutridge area, (916) 457-1601. They also sell tons of old new and used stuff. Good selection of Zinsco stuff. They can be abit rude and a bit ruff some times but have always taken good care of me.

A local sheet metal shop that manufactures UL listed pull boxes will manufacture lost covers for contractors in our area.

Around here they will gig ya if you dont have the factory screws installed to hold the panel cover on. I have no idea what they would think if I installed a panel cover that was not a factory issued cover. :roll:

Bob, I just happen to have an identical panel in another unit. It is OK to copy it I hope.

This is not a bad call. I've seen where several fires have started because the 'replacement' screws penetrated the insulation on the service conductors. The Screws supplied with the Equipment are usually, if not always blunt-tipped.

I agree Bill but it was one of those citys here thet taged us on a panel where we used some screws from an older version of the same panel. ITE changed there screws from a combo straight slot/philips to a square/straight, His call was that it wasn't listed to be used with this panel.
Even though it came from one made by the same manufacture just older.

Not to be petty but you can get a screw jammed into a wire in any typical wiring box. Why don't we just have all receptacles and switches listed only for use with their respective manufacturers boxes. And we would still have the same potential for screwing into a conductor. :roll:

Zinsco, rip it off the wall and replace it.

any inspector not excepting a panel screw from another panel is just out to flunk you to raise money.Kinda like a speed trap in my opinion

Wayne we are in the same boat,Jim we dealt with the same inspectors not to long ago.I had a post about a year or so ago that was in regards to this same thing manufacturers screws not installed.What we got gigged on was 1/4 in set back rule.It was an easy article to defend so that is what they cited.Came from 2 in sheet metal screws being used when the dryall was to far out from the face of the panel.electricman2 whats to troubleshoot, they buzz, they dont trip service changeout time.
