Looking at doing a large install for a client with a number of tall (16 ft ceilings) freezers and refrigerators. The general opinion from some of these threads are that it is a dry location per NEC but I often treat it as damp since we het fairly high humidity in the summer . I will be using surface mounted PVC and since there will be many lights I want to be able to replace units without having to break into the conduit proper . The question is this , would using a cord and plug luminaire require a wet use cover in this application ? I have seen installations with wet use covers mounted on ceilings and eaves (mostly for heat tape) only to have them fill with water which seems counterproductive Love to hear any opinions on this
