low voltage and high voltage

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for the article in NFPA-70 that shows the division between low voltage (0-600volts) and high voltage.

There is not an article per se. If you look in the table of contents you will see that the chapters of the code are broken into parts designated by roman numerals. There are several chapters that will have a part dedicated to systems "over 600 volts" as it pertains to that chapters subject matter. So to summarize, the code does not have a section devoted just to medium or high voltage. Voltages 600 and over are dealt with throughout the code.

Thanks for the answer. The question arose from a code class that I teach to my apprentices. Would you know how NEC came up with the demarcation of 600 volts?

I was told it has to do with Canada's version of our 277/480 voltage.
There's is 347/600.
