I am installing approximately 420' of fencing. I would like to utilize 16 18w post lights on the posts of this fence. I am looking at a 500w transformer which has 2 taps. Also I would be using 8/2 wire. I am not sure if this will work off of a single tap or if I would need to split the run into 2 separate circuits. I am also thinking it might be possible to switch to LED bulbs which should utilize around 1w each instead of the 18w incandescent bulbs. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
