Good morning, recently I was sent to a church to repair a lighting problem. The in house maintenance guy decided to add a set of 3 ways to the church main hall,He took a relay with 24 volt coil ran the line and load thru it ran to sets of fire alarm cable to the other end of the church by a door.
,one end goes thru a wiremold race way thru a fire alarm pull station then to a wiremold box with the other end of the 3 way that he added.
Then he ran the other set down a conduit with 110 voltage to a 3 gang switch box and placed his 2nd 3 way with them.

My quetion is can low voltage and fire alarm cables share the same raceway? I do not own a copy of NFPA 72 {will soon}Thank you p.s.lites didn,t work either,I Blessed myself and left

Surprisingly the answer is yes.

Power limited Fire alarm (PLFA) conductors can share a raceway with class 2 circuits.

760.56 Installation of Conductors of Different PLFA Circuits, Class 2, Class 3, and Communications Circuits in the Same Cable, Enclosure, or Raceway.

(B) Class 2 Circuits with PLFA Circuits.
Conductors of one or more Class 2 circuits shall be permitted within the same cable, enclosure, or raceway with conductors of power-limited fire alarm circuits, provided that the insulation of the Class 2 circuit conductors in the cable, enclosure, or raceway is at least that required by the power-limited fire alarm circuits.
