Low voltage switches

I was telling somone some of the advantages of low voltage wiring for lighting. Let me know if I can add more (brain is asleep today). They were haveing trouble really seeing any advantages since you still have to have the high voltage conductors to the lights from the relay anyways.

"Advantages"

1)you can add as many low voltage switches as you want

2)It helps reduce cost of wire when doing the switch drops

I rarely see LV switching used. I'd like to know the advantages too. I can't think of any
