I cannot remember if I posted this question before. My customer bought low voltage track lighting. It will have a remote transformer. The lighting salesperson says use low voltage landscape wire inside, of which has been deteremined is illegal. What methods do you use for this. I have not had to do a remote transfomer on anything other than puck lights for indoor uses before. Is there a wire or cable assembley rated for this. It is Tech lighting and I haven't opened the boxes yet so I don't know if romex is a solution to this thereby making this project no problem at all. Just trying to prepare myself for this. The customer is supplying all of the "lighting" and if there is a special wire needed for this then I am going to make him supply that too.

I usually run some 10/2 nm depending on the distance and wattage. MInimum 12/2.

check Seagull Lighting, they sell a 10/2 cable for LV lighting installations, track is also available for it. comes in black and white
