Low Voltage WAC LED under cabinet lighting

I am installing Low Voltage LED lighting under my cabinets in my kitchen. What size wire do I have to run coming off the low voltage {load side} side of the transformer? The wires will be in a wall with insulation and the transformer will be in my basement. The lighting is the tape lighting that changes color off a driver.

Will that require a proprietary wire? With that said, whats the load?
