And to add, I’ve measured current on those copper lines where one common tank fed service to more than one building. Not my job to rip and tear decades old installations either.

Yeah I have seen that also, propane guy felt a shock at the tank, I tracked it down to a combination gas / electric range on a old 3-wire range outlet, the neutral was weak in the range outlet and was putting voltage on the gas pipe.
