Is often requested, but only requirement is via specifications.
Apparently LV/communications guys aren't smart enough to figure out how to fish through a raceway
, though I can understand to some degree if you pull a string in it helps confirm you have a complete and open raceway.

There is some truth to that. I would love to see a computer geek try it. On the other hand it is work that has to be done by somebody. Might as well be the EC who bills for it.

Worked for awhile with the chief engineer of a radio station which made use of a lot of shared ducts around campus.
He always left a pull rope. And his philosophy was that if somebody else pulled a new cable and did not leave the rope you just cut his cable and used it to pull yours. Leaving the other guy's cable and a pull rope in the duct when done of course.
