A building I do work in just had all the old panels replaced with new panels. Some of the old panels had a TAP from the lugs to a circuit breaker cut out, that was feeding a panel in a another room. This tap now has its OWN CIRCUIT BREAKER in the new panel. The question is does that circuit breaker cut out need to be taken out or can it stay? If it stays there will be 2 circuit breakers in series that are the same Amps, but not the same RMS. Most breakers are 3 phase 100 Amps or less, and all new panels are 225A M.L.O. Any code reference is appreciated.
