But as 700, 701, and 702 stands, this is for loss of normal power and transferring to emergency rather than switching outside of that scope.
I'm not sure what you mean. 70X.5 says that you have to prevent inadvertent interconnection of normal and alternate sources unless you meet the 705 requirements of operating in parallel.

Would another normal source classify as alternate? Or two unparalleled standby generators? I will re-read 700 latter on.
