I'm not sure what you mean. 70X.5 says that you have to prevent inadvertent interconnection of normal and alternate sources unless you meet the 705 requirements of operating in parallel.

Would another normal source classify as alternate? Or two unparalleled standby generators? I will re-read 700 latter on.

I would guess you'll consider another normal source as a 702 transfer so 702.5
