All,
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am trying to build a pool in Houston, Texas. I have a 10' easement accross the back of the property with a Centerpoint main trunk line going through it. I have confirmed that the trunk is in PVC. Problem is the trunk is in the front edge of the easement (not closer to the fence) so I am getting grief from inspector about 5' minimum requirement between the trunk and inside pool wall. I have done some research and it seems like as long as the electrical cable is in a rigid metal or PVC conduit, the 5' rule doesn't apply....can someone direct me to the NEC for the language OR if you have any ideas.....
I am also looking at having the trunk moved, but expecting quote for thousands of $$$.
Thank you!
