Maintenance receptacle nec 2014 Article 210.63

I have walk in cooler commerical whose condensing units are on roof and evaporator unit inside cooler.

I know I need maintenance recptacle for condensing unit on roof but do I need evaporator maintenance receptacle in the cooler?

maybe you don't "need" it WRT code requirements, but it might well be very handy to someone trying to work on the unit. And they are dirt cheap to install up front compared to adding it later or forcing someone to use a long extension cord.

in any case this is what the code says.

210.63 Heating, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Equipment
Outlet. A 125-volt, single-phase, 15- or 20-ampere-rated
receptacle outlet shall be installed at an accessible location for
the servicing of heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.

does the equipment you are asking about qualify as "refrigeration equipment"? I would suggest it does. The code section goes on to say the receptacle can be as far as 25 feet away. I am not real sure I would want it inside the cooler, but I think you need to provide something to comply with 210.63.
