I think that I missed something.
What does a home owner do with a male to male cord?
I've never uderstood why that one and a few like-minded others are in the NEC.406.6(a) & (b)
What were they used for in theater work? Way back in the old days I found a number of two wire male to male cords stored with the theater lighting equipment at the high school I attended. I assume they were for some type of patch panel to connect the dimmers to different circuits, but never found any panel like that.
Is there a code section than prohibits a power cord with a male plug on both ends?
I have made the statement that I will be fired before I let this happen.
Other than it is completly stupid to do it, is there a code reference I
can use. Once I quote chapter and verse they always back off but sometimes that is what it takes.
Thanks!
This has been taken care of. Thanks for the code reference Cow!
