Article 3.14 Manholes. I can find nowhere in the Manhole section that prevents a Manhole from containting 4160-13800 & 100 pr.Phone the H.V.cables are single conductors in pvc passing thru.Phone in the same manholes. The cables and Manholes are the Owners. I think its wrong but where do I find a Article or section that prevents it?? Any Ideas on this? Most places I;ve run into have seperate power and communitions manholes.

"Underground communications wires and cables in a raceway, handhole, or manhole containing electric light, power, Class 1, or non?power-limited fire alarm circuit conductors shall be in a section separated from such conductors by
means of brick, concrete, or tile partitions or by means of a suitable barrier."

I wonder if they consider plastic conduit a sutiable barrier.

In the duct bank Yes, PVC no problem BUT passing thru the manhole ??? Most manholes well be at least 6x8 x 8ft in hight so like a small room . All cables well be racked passing thru,
