I have a service disconnect 100 feet away running with four wire to the manufactured home straight up into the manufactured home disconnect so that’s the disconnect for that building inspectors trying to say to be 30 feet away and I’m like no that’s only for mobile homes not manufactured manufactured have a different rules, which is basically the same as stick built
Out in the field of can’t verify, but I know I’m right

Well, I guess Oregon has some manufactured specialty code that I never knew about and it states that so he didn’t deny me for any off NEC . He denied me for building permits codes. I wonder if he can technically I’m covered by NEC correct and he really denied me for a building code division problem.

6-2.3(5)
  1. Feeders shall be connected to the electrical service disconnect within view of the manufactured dwelling and within 30 ft. of the manufactured dwelling exterior wall.

Yes, but I word that as it stating the service disconnect is the 30 foot mark not that the feeder is a 30 foot mark

OMDISC Section 6-2.3(5) states:

“Feeders shall be connected to the electrical service disconnect within view of the manufactured dwelling and within 30 ft. of the manufactured dwelling exterior wall.”

This section regulates the location of the service disconnect — not the length of the feeder. The intent is to ensure a disconnecting means is readily accessible near the dwelling if the service is mounted on a structure (as outlined in 6-3.1(4)).

Since our service is mounted on a pole (not a structure), the 30-foot rule does not apply. In this case, the installation is governed by NEC 225.32, which allows the disconnecting means to be located inside the structure at the point where the conductors enter.

It’s just redundant code language

Would under the manufacture home with an lb to outside- be nearest point of entry for my feeders that will go to new panel. Was Justin’s going to put a feed through on side of home and intercept them—-
Under the manufacture home would not be part of the home would it?

550.32(B)
(2)The installation of the service shall comply with Part I through Part VII of Article 230.
......
Where the service equipment is not installed in or on the unit, the installation shall comply with the other requirements of this section.

That last sentence to me indicates if it is not mounted on the building it then must be within the 30ft required in (A) of section 550.32

Also 100ft is not Within sight

110.29 In Sight From (Within Sight From, Within Sight).
Where this Code specifies that one equipment shall be “in sight from,” “within sight from,” or “within sight of” another equipment, the specified equipment shall be visible and not more than 15 m (50 ft) distant from the other.

Going to route it to the wall of the manufacture home- only thing I worry about is it will penitrate under crawlspace for 5” so is that nearest point of entry. I guess worse case I put concrete around it till it hits the block skirting

The crawl space isn't inside the structure, I don't think.
