2 am this morning was Daylight Saving Time...how many residential contractors took this opportunity to send postcards to all their previous residential customers and remind them of DST and remind them to check (or better yet, schedule you to come out and check) their smoke detectors?

How many resi contractors realize that the average consumer needs an electrician every 36 months or so? How many consumers will really remember the great service you gave them on that $150 service call last week, in 3 yrs when they need you again?

you have to keep your name in front of the customer...and sometimes the best way to do this is not even ask for anything...give them some information...help them...you'd be surprised at the results...

What is your feeling on sending comment cards say a month after the work is done? On occasion I have brought the homeowners pastrys from Panera. What can I say its the Chef in me. The way to most peoples hearts is their stomach's:smile:

I give out Irish cookbooks....it's more like a pamphlet...all recipes end the same:
Boil until done
