Ordered SER copper cable 4-4-4-6 for 60 amp subpanel. Cable marked Type SR Style U THHO or THWN Cable definitely SER and not SEU. Expected to see Type SE style SER or style R. Never heard of Type SR cable and why would it be marked style U --- no concentric neutral and definitely SER black, black/red stripe, white insulated with uninsulated ground UL listed file 11098. Not sure I ever heard of THHO wire either. Expected to see THHN or THWN or XHHW.

I guess the manufacturer decided on another way to mark the cable to distinguish their cable from others. SR equates to service and round, the U generally refers to unarmored so se cable is a type "U" cable....

The truth is I have no idea-- misprint, made in china etc--all viable reasons. :D
