I took it in 2003 (not exactly "lately") and it was difficult, but not overly so, IMHO. However, I studied quite a bit, and I have always done well on tests.
 
took my test in the 80's it was closed book.I understand it is open book multiple choice with caculations. anne arundel c.c. has a guy clint pratt teach a masters prep course, he will gear program to class. I.E.C chesapeake chapter 18004703013 also has master prep courses.

I'm going to see Clint - in his inspector capacity- tommorrow. I'll try to remember to ask about his courses.
