Massachusetts amendments 1/2 inch EMT

A Journeyman from Connecticut mentioned that he thought the Massachusetts amendments prohibited the use of 1/2 inch EMT in Commercial applications.
I can not find any discrepancies regarding Article 358.
Some projects spec 3/4 EMT as the smallest allowed. I have never heard of an issue regarding Massachusetts Code.
I would appreciate the feedback.

We are being subcontracted by his employer, providing Massachusetts licenses.
He was adamant about this, I wanted to check it out.

I Would be interested in listening to the backround on this issue I feel that I can provide acurate information if you desire.

There are no restrictions on the use of 1/2" EMT (as mentioned ) for commercial installtions in 527 CMR 12:00 That I am aware of I am resonably confident in that statement. Of Course there may be another side to this issuer
