Today (8/7/14) the Massachusetts Board of Fire Prevention Regulations (BFPR) voted to approve for final promulgation the Comprehensive Fire Safety Code, 527 CMR which is NFPA 1 with Massachusetts revisions.
They also voted for an effective date of January 1, 2015. I believe the final step is for the Secretary of State to sign it into law.

There were some final amendments discussed that are not in the draft above.
