Massachusetts License Requirements for Fire Alarm installation

Hello,

I currently hold a journeyman license in Massachusetts and am about to take my masters electrician exam. I also hold an S license that I use primarily to install surveillance systems. I am curious if anyone has any insight into the neccessary licensure/education neccessary to install fire alarm systems in light commercial/residential buildings. I was not sure if an S license covered this area, but obviously I need some education in this area. I have worked with Martin Electrical school in the past and maybe they are a better place to ask but I figured it could not hurt to ask here as well. I appreciate the insight very much.

I have a MA journeyman's as well. I don't claim to be up on the regulations especially since I am retired. I know it used to be in addition to being licensed that to do alarms you had to have some sort of certification from the State Police and maybe a background check.

I also have a MA journeyman. I have only used it once, but i keep it because its kinda a hard license to get. Im not up on what it takes to get a masters and Ill never go for it anyway.....
