Max Candella Rating for Fire Alarm Strobes

I am trying to find an NEC reference for the maximum candela rating for fire alarm notification appliance (strobes). I'm pretty sure it's 1000 cfm, but can't find code reference. Can anyone help?

I do not believe it is as easy as saying 1000 cd. There are size of room/space parameters, etc... that have to be engineered into the system. Section 7.5 Visible Characteristics - Public Mode is where this information can be located in NFPA 72.
