Maxi tronic speed wont read out correctly due to noise on ground..

Unless there's an intentional bias on them (highly doubtful) I'd chase that first.
Thats the plan. Check everything up top and see if i can get rid of the 40 volts on drain wires for signal and thermocouple cables... It was strange i was trying to land the drain wires in different locations as the engineer suggested, and i noticed if my hand was touching the metal back plate and the choke wire id get the target light to flash, or light up... then in some other combinations if i was holding the signal drain wire and would touch the egc the light would get brighter as i would squeeze down. I kept feeling like i was getting a little tingle from either the back plate or the drain wire and when i checked voltage i was getting 39 to 40 volts on the drain wire....
 
If you have trouble picking up the speed of the cordless drill, you could chuck a flat spade bit in it so that the sensor would detect the changing proximity of the metal from the side of the bit.
