In example 230.9 of the 2002 handbook , is the lower right in each group, a meterless disconnecting means?

Or, is the disconnect associated with the meter to it's left ?

I am not sure what you are asking gwz2.

The name of the exhibit is.

One service lateral supplying two sets of service-entrance conductors with not more than six disconnects grouped in one location.
This name suggests to me that each location can have up to six disconnects.

It is tough to tell any real details from the illustration, but to me it looks like no "main" just a service disconnect for each load served.

I will say I have never done this, any meter stacks I have done had a single main OCPD.

Exhibit 230.9 on page 130 of the 2002 NEC Handbook appears to have the two top units in each meter pack to be a meter with a CB just below.

The bottom outlines in each meter pack appear to have a meter on the left side and a larger CB on the right side.

Just not aquainted with such set-ups.
