MC cable in a AHCA environment

Is it permissible to install MC cable in the hallway of a hospital to feed a new 240-volt coffee machine in the employee lounge. It will not pass thru ANY patient areas. If it is allowed, does it have to be medical grade MC.? I am not sure on this.

I say yes it is allowed to be installed in the hallway and no it doesn't need to be MCAP.

517.13 wiring methods apply to circuits supplying patient care areas. If your circuit does not supply patient care standard MC would be acceptable
