Bob,
That is really what is comes down to, everyone says pipe is better until they are asked to pay for it.
That issue goes away if you have a good code, like Chicago does. :wink:

I have no issue whatsoever with cables when installed "Neat and Workmanlike" :wink:

I was thinking of the plans we get, 90%+ show all pipe and then sticker shock hits the customer and they want the same building for less money. Pipe is first in line to get cut out of the specs.

It should be up to the customer.Many are on tight budget and MC often is only way out.While i prefer pipe i must admit i myself would likely pick MC where it will not be seen.Nobody can do emt for mc price.

I see that i can't cover it and like the idea of box with p ring and blank the best and will do just that.What i don't understand is that if there is no splice why would we ever need in that box ? Where is safety at risk here ? Should the wire ever go bad we have drywall damage anyways.Other than for looks had i wanted to i could just keep the run in mc at 8 feet up
