That is not my tester I have no idea why the boot is removed. EXCEPT I always throw them away as the fatten up my already too over burden tool case.
Fluke has a model 1653 which is a loop impedance tester and a megger which isn't marketed in the US, only in the UK, etc.guitarchris said:can you test loop impedance with any megger? and do you test with the power on or off the circuit? I am a megger newbie and have never used our megger. It is very very old, I can't think of the model at the moment.

It's a megger but it's seperate like having two different units.
The Fluke 1653 can't be purchased here "normally" although there are a few that have them. It unlike the Suretest 61-165 that does loop tests, won't trip a GFCI. I was lucky enough to have use of one for a bit!guitarchris said:here is what I was refering to
