I need to discover the proper sequence for pm'ing standby generators. We have just started to include them in our monthly pm meggering schedule and they don't meg out the same way as either a DC or an AC motor. When you try to megger the phases they are grounded out and of course the megger recognizes that and I can't move forward. What is the proper procedure for testing a typical standby generator so that we can establish a routine for testing them monthly? Thanks in advance
