Heres a nice christmas present, the NFPA has an online version (free and no registration) of the 2005 NEC.

Its the entire NEC and its fairly fast to use.

You'll find that all NFPA codes/standards are available in the same way, from the same website.
For about a year now.

I gave it a go and couldn't find any free code access for NFPA 70. Admittedly, I don't have a lot of patients when I'm not rewarded immediately on Internet sites. I agreed to the terms but I couldn't find my present

Cool, I got in. I'm not sure what was different but I got to this:

Open National Electrical Code? Softbound 2005 Edition (NFPA 70).

and sure enough the whole book's there it looks like.

I would bet that was one of Jim's highlights for the year.

I'm not saying he can't afford to buy the book, but he sure hates to.

It is wrapped, it has a pretty red cover.
