Is it required by the NEC to ground metal boxes and metal wireways with an EGC if all the conductors pass through such enclosures unspliced? I thought I remembered a few years back where the NEC made this change, but I'm not finding it.

The section you are looking for is 250.148.

Note that if the wiring method itself does not provide an EGC connection to the metal box or wireway, such a connection must be provided.

Thank you. I've always installed an EGC in conduits on my own jobs, but I have worked for a few guys over the years that used the metal conduit as an EGC. I remember having to use a "stinger" from device grounding terminals to the boxes.
