Putting up a Quonset style metal building. Location receives the most lightning in the US.

I was told to use (8) 3/4” x 10’ copper grounding rods (beneath the footers). How should this be tied into ufer?

Your occupation is not in line with what we allow for posting. You were given bad advice. Lightning protection is very specific and should be done by a UL certified lightning protection installer.
