No, but I suppose you could use the plastic snap in connectors

Your probably right on that, Inspector would probably say oh know its a metal connector for a plastic box ( violation )... or ...Oh its a plastic connector for a plastic box with mc .. your good ............. just great.

was this MC or NM Cable .. I see mixed scenarios

I'm sure its written somewhere, so a bonding bushing needs to be used when a metal connector is used, so what happens here, Landing lug ..

You don't use them on NM boxes. The snap ring is an approved bond to metal boxes.

Those are intended to be used with a non-metallic raceway system like Smurf or PVC conduit and a male adapter.

You will probably find that fitting is listed for use on metal boxes only.

The MC sheathing still has to be bonded.

It is bonded at the other end of the cable, unless maybe that also is in a non metallic box.
