Is there an official rule in NEC about max length of metallic liquid tight? Everyone says 6 feet, but can't find in code book. For example is it acceptable to come out of a disco and into an outdoor ac unit with 10 feet of metallic tight if properly supported?

Use of flexible metal conduits as an equipment grounding conductor where permitted is limited to six feet length of flex. Some confuse this as a 6 foot limit on flexible conduits, but it is only a limit on how long it can be used as an EGC. Pull in a separate EGC and you can have any length you want.
