I have a question regarding meter mains I have a job that has the meter on the side of someone's home it's a back to back in there dining room they want to move the panel into the garage from the existing meter to the garage is about 30 feet I want to know if I hard pipe it from the meter through their crawlspace under there house if I can get away with just A regular meter because it's in pipe I am obviously going to run THHn in the pipe any help would be greatly appreciated

Service conductors in conduit does not exempt you from needing a disconnect either adjacent to the meter or as close as possible where the conductors enter the building. If the conduit was in a slab under concrete then comes into the building then that is considered outside the building and you don't need a disconnect outside.

Interesting that I can install a meter outside and then run a conduit on the outside attached to the building and enter on the other side of the building and I would not need a disconnect near the meter. In fact, I could actually use SE cable also but once the conductors enter the building then a disconnect is needed

As Dennis outlined you really have two choices, install the main at the meter and run a feeder through the crawlspace or run the SEC's completely on the outside of the house. If you physically cannot do option #2 then you'll have to go with some version of option #1.

How about one of these
