You asked about meter/mains three times before you finally just said disconnect. No one talked in circles but you! You should have just asked about the disconnect the first time.

And... see what the PoCo has to say about it (some supply the meter sockets, some don't; some have a list of sockets or MM panels that you buy, some don't). It's possibly that you may not even be allowed to use a "meter-main" at that location!

This! You have to satisfy both the code and PoCo requirements either one can toss a wrench in works if one does not pay attention to everything.
