I am looking for some clarification on an existing meter stack for an apartment complex. The building has a 600 amp main service disconnect in its own enclosure feeding 12 meter sockets with individual disconnects. The customer wants to add 3 small apartments and I happen to have 3 empty meter sockets available. My question is regarding 230.71(B). If my main service disconnect is in its own enclosure, are the individual meters/disconnects required to have barriers as well? They currently do not have barriers.
