Guy wants a price on a modular home. I've never done a modular, I don't know whats involved. There are no electrical drawings and the mod company is of no assistance.

How do I price a modular home?

How much do you money do you want to make on this job ? Are the pieces delivered to the

site ? If yes, do you see any tails coiled up somewhere ? What materials & permits do you

need to supply ? Meter can & PVC conduit for underground to dog house ? Start by getting

a large bottle of Bayer asprin.

Will it be sitting on blocks, or have a real basement? You need to ask the owner or the sells rep if it is new. Just tell this is your first one. Ask until you feel safe with the job, or you want to pass it up.

If by "modular home" do you mean what art 550 refers to as a manufactured home, which is what most people around here call a modular home?

If so then all you normally do is run service drop or lateral, metering , and service conductors to the service equipment already installed in the home. The rest of the wiring is already completed at the plant where the home was made. If they will be putting it on a basement then that will need wiring installed on site.

If you mean something that has sections built off site and then assembled on site you really need to find out from the seller what it is that you will need to do as it can vary greatly from one of these type of places to another.
