Molded Case Breaker, Testing, Repair?

I've got a ton of these 3 phase molded case breakers that came from a large plant's storeroom that I bought the contents of at auction some years back. So I have no history on them. I made my money back by like tenfold and still have some stuff left, so I don't really have anything into them.

So if I wanted to use them, how can they be tested? Are there any reputable companies doing testing and repair? Is it even worth having it done or are they paperweights?

I guess if I made my own enclosure that would be bad too. . Shame because most commercial electrical enclosures are expensive and not very well built. If I built one it would be a bit oversized and be made out of 8 gauge carbon steel

There is no industry wide accepted procedure for drilling out rivets oe breaking apart glued components in order to repair or reconditioned molded case circuit breakers. You are at the mercy of any shop that offers this type of service. Evrnthpugh some companies offer this service they are usually scavenging parts from several breakers in order to come up with an untestable single device (AIC testing is destructive).

With or without SCCR marking?

I can get plates like this made in China. They will make them say anything. I could even get them to say made by "The Donald Duck Electrical Manufacturing Company"" in Arlen Texas USA.

Hell, I could even make them out of 1/4 inch plate with ten 5/16 bolts grade 8 bolts holding the dead front on. Good enough to withstand a small forklift strike

It's always been my understanding that MCCBs cannot be maintained per UL. Low-voltage power circuit breakers can be maintained and service indefinitely as long as replacement parts are available. I don't think they have any value and I would not take the risk of selling them to anyone.

Actually I was thinking of using them here. I have a feeder and a branch circuit going to the welding area that I want to remove and replace with just a larger feeder. There is already a breaker panel back there with enough capacity. I'm just trying to get rid of all these fused discos that come off an unfused 3 phase trough.

Not saying I'm going to use any of them, but I'm going to take some apart just to understand their workings better. I've never had one apart before

Electrolysis tanking would clean it right up.
