I did some work on a house this week and just had to bust out the camera.

I should also mention I was greeted with the "I coulda done this stuff but I am just too busy." line from the homeowner.

Couple of notes:

I took the 6/3 out of the panel because I have a conscience.

The pool filter is about 15 feet from the panelboard and leaks constantly so the entire basement is damp with a less than desirable moldy feel.

Surprisingly the inside of the panel was pretty neat, I forgot to take a pic of it.

There was plenty more to photograph but I did not have the time.

Is there anyway I can add just pic#3 to my favorites? I am pretty much computer illiterate. I guess I can just add the entire page.

The price of "above and beyond" work is priceless:D

Right click on each picture, then your choice(s) begin.

The home owner is a candidate for a dehumidifier, it will take down the mildew and some of the smell,
vinagar in a bowl as a room fresher, will knock out the rest...

What exactly was the scope of your work? I'm not sure I would touch that one w/o a waiver or some sort of HO acknowledgement that there is an abudance of violations that need to be addressed.

I did a double-take on that one myself. Wow!

They put a screened in porch on their deck. I added 2 fans and an outside receptacle. I did not dare splice into anything existing, I ran a brand new 15A circuit, the fans are on the load side of the GFI. This house is easily 100 years old, sad thing is in most of the older homes in this area this type of stuff is very common.

I was trying to find something I could top it with, but wasn't successful!

I guess I should have took pictures of a house that had a few branch circuits spliced with cord.

Hey thanks man! That's incredibly ironic because I was thinking about finding that exact picture for my avatar today.

It is truly a shame about the whole historical thing around here, I have seen many homes completely "modernized" and I mean that in a bad way. I did work for the new owners of a historic oceanfront home that was built by a very prolific person over a century ago, there was this plaque that the owner showed me on the wall with all the historical info on the house and stuff.....then they slapped vinyl siding, azek and fiberglass decking all over the house   , it made me sick watching them rip this house apart.

Oh, also if I was supposed to put these pics into another thread a mod can move them I did not mean to hijack any photo thread idea. I'm new'ish here :)

On the photo #3 Ya are not far behind what my customer done with the dangbat data / tv cables on one corner of basement.

I did told him he did pull the permit for basement work and I bet him he will not pass the inspection.,, I allready count more than 5 voliations allready and he have balls to ask me to correct his voilations but however I stood firm.,, I qouted " J'obtiens mes propres permis ?lectriques" { I get my own electrical permits } and he got ticked off for while.

Anyway that corner It was a mess and i should take a photo of that one.

Merci,Marc

Mr Sparkle, I know you are disrespectful to dirt are you also disrespectful to dangerous electrical work? :D

By the way .... I think I would have run from that mess if I had a choice.
