Is anyone experiencing shortages on items like Milbank meter enclosures, any Arlington products like garden posts, snap-in PVC straps, taymac in-use covers, etc ? One of my supply houses hasn't had Milbank meter enclosures (with 5th jaw) for about 2 months while another supply house has had them in stock. I'm guessing it's a supply chain issue or a manufacturing issue or both. Just curious.

My supply house hasn’t had meter bases for a month. They can get Eaton panels but not the breakers. They’re thinking of switching product lines. 200 amp disconnects are hard to find too.

Wendys was out of gravy yesterday when I went there to get breakfast so no biscuits and gravy for me. :(
Wow. Shows how much I pay attention..
I didn’t know Wendy’s is trying a breakfast menu again.
Huge flop the first time.

I get the Breakfast Baconator with an extra egg.

Waited 2-3/mo for a Milbank meter can, finally installed last week. Same on arlington. A lot of my orders were cancelled by Arlington over the summer.

I mentioned in the last thread about square d gear showing up missing breakers…. Had forwarded that info to the GC. Got an email tonight that says…”owner is firm that we must open on 11/30.” I didn’t even bother to respond.

I know of 2 places that have some 4-jaw meter cans and a couple of 4-jaw meter mains

Problem is, there's only one POCO here that requires customer purchase mater can, and they use 5-jaw.

So all those 4-jaw cans are bad stock items here.

A fifth clip can be added very easily.
There are kits for them, or use a clip from an old Meterbase you have laying around.
The Bakelite sides are made to accept the clips in the 9 o’clock position.

If materials not even available, what does he expect? Even our local AHJ is giving conditional COs and they've never done that before, recognizing supply shortages, things like AFCI and GFCI breakers will get a conditional with caviet that they be installed ASAP.

I think he should buy them and sell them in a market that needs them :)

I knew the fifth jaw could be rotated 90°. I didn't know that it is sold as an accessory. Thanks

Heard back from SqD today that breakers won’t be available until January 2022.

Had to wait almost 5 months earlier this year for a couple Milbank multi position meter sockets. Worst part was the lack of accurate shipping dates from the company. Every 2 weeks they kept bumping the date out another 2 weeks... for months.

Square D QO DF breakers have been hard to find, but usually we can get them if we check a few different supply shops locally.

I heard from a counter man at one of my supply houses that Arlington does not have enough employees in their factory to produce products. Not sure how accurate that is but it seems plausible. What a shame.

Most of our customers have figured out that everyone is short on parts and they just have to wait. We have a few stubborn ones that are insistent that the schedule be maintained even when normally stocked parts have a 6month lead time. They told us to look for alternates , well even the alternates are out of stock, it's not vendor or mfr specific anymore.
