More scam/snake oil advertising! These items are supposed to just plug in to a 15A or 20A 120V receptacle. They tout saving on ALL power used, even 240V loads. But since they only would cover one leg when plugged in, I don't see how they could claim to cover ALL power.
Enjoy....................

Well, if they clean up the voltage waveform on one line that would have to soak up all the noise from the other line too. Where else could it go?

I also love the extra mile they go to to put interactive features on their website, like the 50 state map with the instructions to click on your state to get free shipping. :)

That darn Public Utilities Commission that governs all the utilities that 'we as Americans' get our energy from. Must be the federal PUC he's talking about. Or no, wait, it must be the PUC in my state, no matter where I live.

I recently worked on an appliance that had one of these "power savers" attached to the breaker serving it.

The device in this case apparently doesn't have any discharge capacitors in it, I didn't get shocked but did end up shorting the supply leads together and got a pretty good snap that got my attention.
